Night and Day by Rockonedesigns in Milwaukee

This piece is an abstract representation of the transition from day to night in a park. This piece was originally painted as a concept for a bench project which fell through and never happened. The colors to the left symbolize the colors of a sunny day with the light blue representing the sky and the dark blue of water with a mixture of light green to represent life and grass. As the painting transitions to the right the orange of the sun setting blends into the color purple which represents the nighttime sky. I chose purple because black would be too intense and would washout the orange and purple colors out. Purple works better with the blue and orange than Lamp or Mars black
