Kirli Saunders is a proud Gunai woman, she is an award winning international writer of poetry, plays and picture books, she is a teacher, cultural consultant and artist. Ngununggula (na/gun/a/goo/lah) meaning to walk and work together. It is one of her favourite gundungurra words, the language of the land she was born and raised on.
