Born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1981 is an emerging contemporary artist based in Berlin. She explores the concept of eroticism through the lenses of pleasure, consent, self-love, fears, and sensuality. Her art aims to provoke introspection and emotions through various media, including large-scale installations, a variety of hairy objects, strong colors and extreme black, big-size drawings, sculptures, paintings, objects with light, and even photography - with her own body as the main object of the image. Imbuing her pieces with rich symbolism, Amaya's unique artistic voice inspires viewers to engage with their inner selves and explore the depths of their sensuality and desires. Amaya has exhibited extensively in Berlin's notable galleries, including Zwitschermaschine Galerie (2018), Lite Haus Gallery (2019), FoYou (2019-2022), Z22 (2021), and Game Over NFT Museum Berlin (2022), and has participated in collective exhibitions at prestigious venues including KaDeWe Berlin, Oberpollinger Munich, and Alsterhaus Hamburg (2021). Additionally, she has undertaken a residency at the Berlin Art Institute and shares her insights and experiences as a speaker at various events, corporations, and universities.
