Mural: Magical Garden by Anastasiia in Vancouver

Location: Walls of a Children's Entertainment Center, Park Year: 2016 Description: This mural was created for the walls of a children's entertainment center inside a park. The goal was to create a magical atmosphere while maintaining a realistic depiction of nature. We carefully planned and developed several sketches before settling on the best concept, which perfectly suited the playful and vibrant environment of the space. And the result was well worth the effort. The mural is filled with bright, vivid colors—exactly what children love. Large, beautiful flowers and lush vines bloom across the walls, while realistic, charming butterflies flutter around. The scene is highly detailed, which adds not only vibrancy but also a sense of life and movement. I aimed to capture the feeling of a magical garden, where every element of nature seems to come alive, inviting children into a world of wonder. Process: The process of creating this mural was an exciting and creative journey. We chose bright and lively colors that would catch children's attention and delight their senses. I carefully worked on the details—from the delicate petals of the flowers to the graceful wings of the butterflies—giving the mural a realistic touch while maintaining a sense of magic. An important aspect was to convey the harmony between the elements of nature, so the mural would feel alive and dynamic, like an actual garden where everything is growing and blooming. Outcome: The finished mural became a vibrant centerpiece of the entertainment center, offering children an atmosphere of magic and joy. Transforming the walls into a magical garden with beautiful flowers and butterflies created a sense of wonder, as if they had stepped into a fairy tale. Their excitement and positive reactions were the best reward for the work put into this project.
