Minimalist Thuluth-Inspired Calligraphy (White on Black) by Omie! in Toronto
Minimalist Thuluth-Inspired Calligraphy (White on Black)
A striking, fluid form that reimagines traditional calligraphy in a minimalist voice. The clean white strokes contrast with a rich black background, giving the composition a sculptural, almost flame-like elegance.
Style: Contemporary Arabic Calligraphy
Medium: Digital or Vinyl on Black Canvas
Message: Less is more — power in simplicity.
Hey, I’m Omar — I’ve been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember. Art has always been my way of connecting with the world around me. What started as random doodles and sketches turned into a real passion, and eventually a career I’m proud of.
I do a bit of everything — from graffiti and bold abstract murals to landscape canvas prints, cartoon pieces, and typography-based wall art. I also have a solid background in graphic design, which helps me bring structure and purpose to everything I create.
I’m not the kind of artist who forces meaning into every stroke — I just like making things that speak to people, brighten up spaces, and tell a story in a simple, powerful way. The one thing I don’t really vibe with? Face portraits. No offense to faces — I just like letting the work speak in other ways.
If you’re after art that’s honest, bold, and a little different — I’d love to create something for you.
