Miguel Juarez Middle School by Victor Giraldo in Miami

Miguel Juarez Middle School

Portrait mural created for the students of Miguel Juarez Middle School in Waukegan, Illinois. This was part of the first outdoor mural series for the school in October of 2022. I chose to depict the image of a young lady of Mexican origin due to the large Mexican American community. The model's physical features and appearance can also represent other indigenous cultures. The bird in the photo is a hawk that is native to the area and is a symbol of nature, freedom and the ability to soare high. Mural completed with Montana 94 spray paint.
