Midsumma Festival Design by Loni Thompson in Sydney

Midsumma Festival Design

Through the use of the Rubik’s cube I've created a playful and interactive representation of the festival itself. The audience has the ability to personalise their experience and pick what interests them from the range of diverse and inclusive events. The festival is a melting pot, a place where communities find creativity and self expression The concept included a suite of illustrations to be used across the festival collateral. I created 4 alternate cubes to keep the overall festival branding fresh, engaging and allow for a fair representation of the 40 illustrations. The addition of clusters and solo cubes to the compositions creates a more dynamic and energetic design across all the assets. Scope of work included program cover art design, printed passes and social media tiles & large format print advertising.
