Kia ora! I am a Tauranga local character designer/portrait artist who specialises in both pencil/pen art and digital art using procreate. I have been drawing characters and portraits since I could pick up a pencil. My imagination is vast and ever growing and I have a real passion for bringing ideas to life. I have studied art for five years earning my Bachelors in Creative Industries as a Visual Artist, and I also am a qualified Secondary Visual Art Teacher. I create my art based off either my own imagination, a prompt or a reference and I have three main styles of realist, semi-realistic and my own style. I love to bring book characters to life using their description and the storyline, and I have always wanted to work on a storybook and bring the storyline to life through my artwork. I am also super interested in creating book covers and character sheets to help the author and the reader understand the character a little more. I am also interested in creating storyboards for games and film. I have a lot of experience in portrait art, either capturing the likeness of a special photo, merging images together to get the perfect portrait, and even bringing loved ones back together again.
