Hello my name is Michelle but I prefer to be called Vimbainashe or Vimbai for short. If that’s too much of a mouthful you can call me MJ😄. I am a talented black female photographer and artist from Zimbabwe with a passion for capturing the beauty of the earths inhabitants through my lens. I studied at the Cape Town Creative Academy and obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Motion Design and Photography (elective), this is where I discovered I was more than just a designer. I have been working in the field of all photography for the past five years (on and off) and i have honed my skills to create stunning portraits, fashion shoots, and conceptual/contemporary shoots. I am currently a master's student at the university of Europe for applied Sciences in Berlin studying Photography in my second and final year.
Although, my passion for art extends beyond photography. I am also a charcoal illustrator and artist, with a keen eye for detail and a natural ability to bring my imagination to life. My charcoal drawings are often inspired by my love of nature and the people around me, patterns and i take great pride in being able to create something that will be cherished for years to come.
I remain grounded and centred always looking to connect deeper with myself and my talent so I can show up even better for those around me. I am deeply committed to using my talents to make a positive impact in the world, and i am always looking for ways to give back to my community. Whether I am capturing the perfect shot or creating a stunning piece of art, my work is a testament to my passion, creativity, and dedication to my craft.
