Marvin the Mushroom Eater
I painted this painting at home in my art studio using acrylic paint along with oil and acrylic paint markers. It is an original design that i did for fun just to test my skills. I've always enjoyed drawing faces and have more recently pushed myself to create complete characters that embrace the emotions I feel on the day the character is being created. This started as a sketch in my sketchbook and once I was sure where I was going with the piece, I hit the canvas running! I got the basic sketch out down on the canvas the first night along with the 1st coast of color and the outline. On the 2nd night I added another coat of color. Let that dry overnight then on the 3rd day I did the detail work.

Meet the Artist
Spanaway, United StatesI am a spanaway based artist (just outside of tacoma) who's preferred mediums are acrylic on canvas and aerosol paint on walls. I have been creating since I was just a wee lad but stopped after high-school for about 8 years due to life getting in the way. Rediscovered my passion a couple years ago and have been slowly honing my skills ever since. In the last 2 years I have done everything from a custom paint job on a car to a logo for a Eugene based non profit company and just about everything in between. I will link my Facebook and Instagram profiles to be used as a portfolio where potential clients can take a look at some of the work I have done. My passion for art comes from wanting to make the world a more beautiful place along with wanting to carry on the artistic side of my family. My brother l, late mother and late uncle were always super creative and passed that spark on to me when I was a child and I wish to make it a full time career for myself so I can continue to honor their spirits by becoming the best artist I can be. Lets work together to make some magic happen! I'm excited to see what the future brings and have you be apart of it!
