Mandala by Saroj Patel in Kidlington

Mandala

Mandala was created for a site specific installation at Clifford Chance, London. It's inspired by the light, reflections, time and space. It takes references from Indian rituals and traditions, Indian astrology and Saroj’s childhood experiences. ‘Mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning circle. It is symbolic in Hinduism representing different aspects of the universe. The circular designs in mandalas symbolise balance, transformation and interconnection of all things. In Hinduism it is also believed that by entering the mandala, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe within oneself.
