For my second commission at a hostel in San Vito Lo Capo, I created a striking wall mural along the staircase that seamlessly blends several of my signature styles: intricate mandalas, repetitive patterns, and elegant botanicals. Using only black paint, I focused on bold, detailed linework to bring the design to life, creating a visually captivating contrast against the wall’s background. The mural flows organically up the staircase, with the patterns evolving as they ascend. Mandalas act as central focal points, radiating symmetry and calm, while the repetitive patterns provide a rhythmic, almost meditative feel. Interwoven throughout the design are delicate botanical elements, inspired by the local flora and adding a natural softness to the otherwise geometric composition. The monochrome palette allows the details and textures to take center stage, creating a cohesive and timeless aesthetic that complements the hostel's atmosphere. This mural invites guests to pause and appreciate the artistry as they move through the space, enhancing the staircase with a sense of both sophistication and warmth.
