Love St Mural
A collaborative mural with The City of Belmont that depicts a lion and his main weaving into the young boy. The lion and the boy are symbolic of the older generation passing down knowledge and guidance to the younger generation. The young boy picks the fruit of the tree of knowledge. The Maori patterns in the main also represent my māori heritage. You will also notice the clouds and some in shape of hearts, painted on love st this was symbolic of the mural bringing the community together. This mural was painted with help by the community of Belmont swell as myself.
Meet the Artist
Perth, AustraliaI am a passionate Māori artist from Whakatane, New Zealand, now residing in Perth. My heart lies in crafting expansive murals that breathe life into spaces. Collaborating closely with cultural advisors, I've had the privilege of weaving stories onto large-scale canvases. Much of my artistic journey has unfolded within school walls, where I've shared my creativity. The spark for mural art started in 2020 when I was asked to paint my local tribe's marae, a pivotal moment that propelled my artistic odyssey. My signature style dances with vivid colours and illustrative brilliance.
