I am a Toronto-based illustrator with a background in Early Childhood Studies, passionate about visual storytelling that resonates with children on both developmental and emotional levels. I’m reaching out to express my interest in being considered for future picture book illustration projects. I bring a unique blend of artistic and child-centered perspectives to my work. Last year, I was honoured to receive the JHS Award for outstanding art piece for the MWF325 - Birth and Its Meanings course at Toronto Metropolitan University, in recognition of an art piece that told a meaningful story about pregnancy/abortion through visual narrative. This was a watercolor piece that stood out to the awards committee at the university.
I love experimenting with all sorts of traditional media, and I am open to trying different forms of media for any project. I specialize in watercolor and graphite, but I am able to create pieces in pencil crayon, alcohol marker, acrylic marker, pen/ink, and mixed media.
