Lost Soul
The subject represents my ties to my middle-eastern roots and the grandmother I never met, while her distinctive wrinkles and weathered skin communicate the hardships that my ancestors experienced through a lifetime of labour. The subtle contrasts in the facial expression and lighting on the right and left sides represent the subject’s conflicting feelings in response to her daily challenges; both despondence and determination.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, AustraliaMural painter and portrait artist based in Sydney. My style aims to blend the classical beauty of photo-realism, with the dynamic energy and bold aesthetics of street art. Specialising in aerosols, I create striking compositions that aim to transform a space and reflect the values and energy of those around it.
I enjoy experimenting with different techniques to create depth and movement in my pieces, focusing on intricate details and diverse colour palettes to bring my subjects to life. I am particularly drawn to expressive portraiture and organic subjects, creating artworks that celebrate individuality and the rich tapestry of our shared stories.
