Lost in Paradise
Hand painted with acrylics, the mural captures the tropical essence of the property, featuring the same vibrant flowers and lush plants found throughout the garden. It adds a personal artistic touch that connects the space to its natural surroundings
Meet the Artist
Miami, United StatesMy name is Iris Torralba, and I create under the name Arcoirist. Born in Cuba and now based in Miami, Florida, my passion for art began at a young age, inspired by watching my next-door neighbor, a talented painter, create intricate oil paintings. This early fascination led me to seek out mentors and education in the arts.
I attended the Academy of Arts and Minds for high school, followed by an associate degree in multimedia and studies in animation. While I value these experiences, I have found that a self-taught approach works best for my creative process.
I specialize in illustrations, both traditional and digital. I am drawn to surrealism and love creating artwork that tells a story, allowing viewers to interpret it in their own unique ways. My work often incorporates retro, nostalgic vibes. I primarily use acrylics for my paintings, along with graphite, ink on paper, and pens for sketches and studies. Recently, I have also started working on murals and design tattoos, currently apprenticing to expand my artistic journey.
I am excited to continue exploring storytelling through my art and invite others to connect with my work on a personal level.
