Little Miss Sunflower
This was a fun piece. All original straight out of my head with no reference material. My mom gave me a glass canvas with a old log cabin on a landscape. I covered the cabin and landscape in black to get a black outline and looked at it for a while to see what came to mind from the shape. It looked like hair to me so I scraped away the paint to create a face outline as well as outlining the hair. Then I started to actually paint her. I ended up not having white paint and a few colors because I was out of town at my mom's and I used yellow for all the highlights which was a push of my ability for sure. This piece ended up being gifted to someone close to me.

Meet the Artist
Tacoma, United StatesBorn and raised in the PNW I have been painting for over 10 years. Besides highschool art classes I am self taught. I prodominety use acrylic but love water color and regular old ink or pencil as well. I am also a jewelery designer and started my own small business with my aunt. We use mostly clay and resin so I am also pretty well versed with sculpting clay items. I also was co owner of a photography/ videography company but stepped away due to personal reasons. As co owner I was not only capturing moments but also editing and using graphic design to complete project in Adobe software. I have also painted many signs for festivals and business purposes. I also have created business cards and logos. Alot of my work is in storage so my portfolio is short with what I have in my phone gallery.
