Light Becomes Her
This is a self portrait painted in 2022. It's the last stage of my pupae to butterfly paintings. It was a series of 3. This piece is about my past lives meeting my current life. It's highly symbolic. Also part of my shattered series. We have a sunflower and moon flower to represent the sun and moon. Its truly one of my favorite pieces I have ever made.

Meet the Artist
Newkirk, United StatesI am an Oklahoma based artist. I grew up in Oklahoma and just returned after 20 years. Love inspires all my work. I have been passionate about art for my entire life. I've done commissions for a few business but mostly, I've worked with private clients. I graduated suma cum laude with my degree in Fine Arts, in 2011. I have amazing technical skills. My last show was a group show at Studio Noho, in Los Angeles. It was called tiny embers, small paintings with big ideas. Through the years I have been working mainly in surrealism. Which, I fell in love with thanks to Kay Sage, Dali, and Frida. I would love to work on something for you.
