Leaping/Diving II

In this work figures overlap to create a swirling work of motion and color. Unlike the brighter colors of "Leaping/Diving I" the colors in this work were inspired by the hues of nature in New England in March, when the work was created. Just before creating this painting I had driven from Boston to Syracuse, NY and back, all the while drinking in the muted, poetic colors of winter changing to spring.
