My artistic approach focuses on the representation of the gestural movement of the body in painting through graffiti and, more specifically, tags. I seek to represent the gesture independently of the usual conditions of realization in order to confront it with the artistic institution, while asking myself this question: How to transcribe as closely as possible the plastic and transgressive energy of graffiti and its codes within a studio practice before its entry into the worlds of art? My work is in the continuity of abstract expressionism and automatism, highlighting the dissociation between reason and intuitive gesture. I therefore want to bring the tag into an exhibition space, without going through the reductive idea of ??a simple transposition of the tag from the street to the canvas, but by focusing more on the creative process. where the writing of the gesture imposes itself through spontaneity and the uncontrolled. My approach to the letter is combined with gestures of disappearance, erasure, superposition and recovery, inherent in the ephemeral status of graffiti. The spontaneity, speed and brutality of the pictorial gesture underlines the energy of the painter of modern life, who interacts with the city and its representatives. My approach is therefore procedural and seeks to represent the characteristics and strengths of the tag, without relying on its formal aesthetics. Thus recreating this automatism depending on the moment and, consequently, on the psychological state at the time of the realization to thus connect art to life.
