My name is Nelly Yenidje. I was born in 2000 in Greece. I graduated from the Art High School of Thessaloniki and later from the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Art has always been an essential part of my life and myself. Painting is my primary medium of expression, the way I communicate with the world around me. Through it, I face reality with absolute honesty and genuine emotion, allowing my work to reflect the most authentic aspects of my inner and outer experiences. The culture in which I grew up deeply informs my artistic vision. The history, traditions, and rhythms of Greece are woven into my imagery, shaping the symbols, colors, and stories that I bring to the canvas. Equally important to my practice is my perspective as a woman. My gender identity influences both the themes I choose and the sensitivity with which I approach them, often highlighting questions of body, memory, and belonging.
