Just Amy - COAG 2021
I was approached by Camden Open Air Gallery to paint one of the shutters on Camden High Street as a part of their regeneration of the Highstreet during lockdown. This was an initiative to paint over the tagging on the closed shops to replace it with artwork, giving artists a space to showcase their work. When approached I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and do a portrait instead of my typical style, signwriting. This mural became a complete success and was praised by the community in camden, the artwork was also featured on a recent documentary on MTV about Amy's god daughter.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, AustraliaHi my name is Joe, I am a street artist specialising in traditional sign painting and street art murals.
I have created hand painted bespoke designs for a range of different businesses, most notably - Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Youngs pubs, Virgin Voyages, Camden Town Brewery, Bionic Business, London councils such as Croydon, Wandsworth and Harrow and I recently finished a restoration project for the Church of England.
As well as running many of my own large scale projects I have also worked for some of the UK's leading mural painting agencies for several years and worked for many high end corporate clients. Most recently completing a project for Facebook's new office building in King's Cross London.
