Josephine Baker, painted in monochrome with just her fabulous art deco earings painted in gold. Acrylic on canvas 100 cm x 100 cm. This was not a commissioned piece. I painted her simply because I think she was an incredible woman with a remarkable story and I loved painting her.

I am a British artist, living and working from the sea port of Sète, in the south of France. All through my career I have had the privilege of exhibiting my work, not only here in France (Paris, Senlis, St-Tropez, Ile-de-Noirmoutier, Sète) but also in the UK (London, Stafford) and the United States (New York). I am currently specializing in grand format portraits in acrylic, using a monochrome palette with just a touch of colour ( mainly gold). My aim is to create portraits that capture the personality of the person I am painting in my own unique style.
