I’m Joana, a photographer and film director based in Lisbon. For me, creating isn't just about snapping a photo, it’s about capturing a mood, a look, and a story that feels alive. My core inspiration comes deeply from cinema, I don’t just look for posed moments, I look for natural light, raw emotions, and those subtle, unscripted seconds that feel like a real movie frame. I honestly love the chaos and the poetry of live storytelling. No shame in bragging here... I’ve been the official photographer for the IndieLisboa International Film Festival since 2024, and I’ve worked on massive high-energy productions like the No Art Lisbon Festival. This has given me an incredibly fast-paced work ethic. I know exactly how to stay sharp under pressure, capture a brand or a couple’s true identity, and deliver stunning, cinematic aesthetics with lightning-fast turnarounds. Whether I am directing a project, shooting a high-profile festival, capturing the spontaneous romance of a wedding, or teaching others how to find their own visual voice through workshops, I bring my whole heart and a cinematic eye to the table.
