The client main requirement was to have the cherry blossom Japanese tree style and specifically the geisha (woman). I integrated to my design the Ikigai symbol as well as more colourful elements. Ikigai is personal; it reflects the inner self of an individual and expresses that faithfully. It is usually used to indicate the source of value in one’s life or the things that make one’s life worthwhile (for example, one might say: ‘‘This child is my ikigai’’). Secondly, the word is used to refer to mental and spiritual circumstances under which individuals feel that their lives are valuable.
