Indianama is a visual communication entity that showcases the work of the creative community through collaboration, curation, and creation — with the purpose of expressing stories and moods across India. For Indianama 2018, 71 graphic designers came together to conceptualize identity systems for 71 small, street-side Indian shops. The branding is inspired by whirly pops which always fascinated me as a kid. The striking shapes, colors, and packaging of these candies amazed me then and continue to do so even now. The smallest of things can take us down memory lane. Re-encountering a long-forgotten smell or taste is often enough to take us back to our happy place — a place where everything was simple and stress-free, and a time which was full of joy and candy.
