Iris after the Rain

Another in the series of works based on the artist's backyard garden pond, this stunning Japanese Iris in bloom in the moments after the rain. Another in my pond series - this of a Japanese Iris in full bloom in the pond after a spring rain.. The blush of life is a reminder that life itself is beautiful and marvelous when we so choose to see it all around us. This large 40x30" oil on canvas depicts one of the flowering aquatic plants that line the artist's backyard garden Koi pond.
