Into the Black Hole by SophWright in Christchurch

Into the Black Hole

2023. TARS do you read me? It’s all blackness. TARS? do you read me? Over. The roaring abyss of the black hole’s call, echoes the rumble of an earthquake, as the unknown engulfs both sound and colour. Into the black hole shares an alternative lens to perceive the colours I saw in 2011. Distorting a memory I wish stayed in the blackness. TARS? do you read me? Over. The Christchurch Earthquakes in 2011 provide a backing to the similar sound experienced in the Black hole scene in Interstellar. this depiction of those sounds outline by synesthetic experience during both moments in time. allowing my viewers a colourful insight to those moments.
