Jordan Rush, born 31/07/1991, is a multidisciplinary Fremantle based artist, experienced in both fine art and street art. Since beginning her mural career in 2017, Jordan’s style has developed and evolved into an eye-catching display of visual symbolism, which intrigues and engages with the viewer. As a result, Jordan’s unique and instantly recognisable style has been sought out by numerous venues around Perth and more recently, local councils. Jordan believes that murals should extend beyond decorating a space by being created with profound meanings in mind, that cause the viewer to stop and take it in. Her human experience and understanding of colour, subject matter and composition allows Jordan to effectively communicate with the viewer, stating “when the viewer engages with my work, I want them to see my truth”. Jordan’s style and voice has a firm place in Perth’s emerging street art scene. She is committed to continuing this venture, passionately believing that this is the most genuine form of creation and artistic integrity. Incorporating the rawness of street art with fine art capabilities, Jordan is able to create public art that is both bold and meaningful, to be enjoyed by the public for many years to come.
