From one of my several shibori pieces that I teach in my workshops.
Meet the Artist
Prospect, AustraliaRehana Usman is a textile designer and artist with a Bachelors’ degree from NCA Pakistan.
From an early age she knew that she wanted more from life & was aiming to deliver to the best of her capacity. She is simple, imaginative & a doer.
Rehana served as the creative head of some top textile companies of Pakistan and represented them in many international trade shows. She also served as an associate professor in NCA for some time. Working enthusiastically & tirelessly she distinguished her self in her early career as multi-facet and committed professional.
She started “Studio Rags” around Fringe 2021 but with her exclusive expertise in textiles, she was soon recognized by the local communities, councils, schools & WEA. She specializes in Indonesian batik printing, shibori dyeing, watercolour painting and famous Truck art. She runs regular workshops to share her skills with others.
Rehana is proud of her origin & achievements and aspires to represent her community as an artist.
