In Comfort We Bloom explores the idea of discovering safety, beauty, and personal growth through meaningful relationships. Although we can grow on our own, there's a moment when we deeply desire the understanding and support of those who truly understand us. These are the people who provide comfort when we're sad, creating a space where we feel safe to rely on them, knowing they'll be there for us too. They help us see the beauty in our past, present, and future selves. The chrysanthemum flower symbolizes the heart in this journey.

Meet the Artist
Cincinnati, United StatesMy name is Tamia, aka "Turtle Child". (artist name) I'm an illustrator and muralist based in the beautiful Cincinnati,OH. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, and took up mural painting in 2014 and have loved doing it for 10 years. I enjoy seeing art come to life on many different surfaces throughout my city. The are so many stories to tell, and I want to see them all!
I frequently use the chrysanthemum flower as a motif for the heart. This is my way of showcasing the many forms the heart can take in the face of human emotions. Emphasizing its fragility and constant need for care. I rely on storytelling through imaginative illustrations and character designs to further expand on this idea. By taking this approach, I try to reassure others they are not alone in their pursuit for emotional peace.
