If Mountains Could Talk
Steph was a selected artist for the 2021 Nelson International Mural Festival in BC. Out of 460 applicants, 6 artists were selected to participate in the festival. Located at Bigby Place, a community living centre for people with disabilities, Steph was commissioned to paint a 50 ft x 15ft exterior aerosol mural in 10 days.
Inspired by the iconic landscape of the West Kootenays, If Mountains Could Talk highlights the beautiful majestic mountains that characterize Nelson, reimagined through abstraction, colour, patterns found in the area to create a vibrant dreamscape.
The artwork was designed to offer the disabled residents and passersby a moment of wonder, sensory delight and a deeper connection to nature.

Toronto, CanadaSteph is a muralist, digital illustrator and 'jill of all trades' artist. Known for her colourful aesthetic, Steph enjoys creating vibrant art and designs that bring flora, animals, landscapes, and abstract patterns together to reconnect us to the nature world.
After receiving her BFA from Concordia University in 2013 and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Humber College in 2016, Steph's diverse career path has led her to work on various client projects with Nelson International Mural Festival, Universal Music Canada, Jameson Whiskey, Shutterstock and LoFi Cannabis.
With a passion for working collaboratively, Steph is keen on partnering up with brands and businesses of all sizes to create beautiful, creative spaces and products that stand out.
