If i should die, let it be with hope.
This artwork is inspired by Refaat Alareer’s moving poem “If I Must Die, You Should Live,” created under the theme “Between Prayer and Protest.” The calligraphy of his words anchors the piece, while a woman prays in grief, a man protests with defiance, and a child gazes upward in hope. Beneath them, a tender plant of hope grows, symbolizing rising awareness and resilience. Through this work, I express my own emotional struggle—though I may not contribute on larger platforms, these small creative efforts are my way of playing a part, ensuring voices of struggle and hope remain visible.

Calgary, CanadaAmbreen is a Calgary based contemporary resin artist with some experiencein murals. Drawn to art as a form of self expression from young age, her inspiration comes from beautiful landscapes, emotions and memories. She is a self-taught artist and uses acrylic, oil and mixed media with resin to express herself. Her recent accomplishments include:
- Successful entrepreneur with global customers and social media following of over 80K.
- Former canadian ambassador for world renowned resin brand Mrs. Colorberry.
- Designed 2020 Wood Buffalo Arts Council Buffy Awards .
- Shortlisted for 2021 Wood Buffalo Arts Council Buffy Awards in Visual Arts Category.
- Recognized as one of YMM Magazine’s Top 50 under 50 for 2021.
- Winner of the 2021 People’s Choice Award for Art from the Unknown by Rachel Notley.
- Winner of the 2022 Buffy Awards in Visual Arts Category.
