I Disappear Pt. 1 The Chair by Tachena Studios in Newkirk

I Disappear Pt. 1 The Chair

The Chair was painted in 2014 while living in Albuquerque. This was a chair in our house. I had been living in an artist punk house with a few friends. I hadn't been taking care of my mental health. So I was disassociating quite frequently. This was a self portrait of what that actually felt like. My friends said it was like a light had gone out of my eyes. What I felt was me leave my body entirely.
