Hope

Bianca was approached to showcase a piece for this wonderful charity event and felt extremely humbled to create something beautiful that she hopes brings joy and inspiration to those who see it. For this piece she’s inspired by Kintsugi, translated “Golden Joinery” from Japan, the centuries-old art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of simply discarding these cherished pieces, the cracks are filled with lacquer which gets dusted with powdered gold, silver or platinum. Like the bowls, many of us have been through our own fair share of hardship, pitfalls, cracks and bruising. Bianca believes we should take what life has thrown at us and use it to make us stronger, mend our seams so that we can prosper and heal
