Honouring Igbo Heritage by KATIRA in Melbourne

Honouring Igbo Heritage

Painting this mural was a real joy. I was asked to create a mural that represents the strength of Women Of Colour and inspired by Nigerian / Igbo culture in a family home. A family that wants their kids to grow up with this image, to remind them everyday about the beauty of their cultural heritage. They also wanted a mural that incorporates my oil painting abstract and figurative style. And so, I was asked to do everything I love to do: represent strong women, empower cultural diversity and PAINT my life away.!
