Hong Sa Bar Spirit House by Gerrard King in Sunshine Coast
Hong Sa Bar Spirit House
I was commissioned by the Spirit House Restaurant in Yandina to create this mural in their "Hong Sa Bar". The Hong Sa is a mythical Thai bird, and this design is what the client wanted to have painted.
It was painted in an antique gold artist's acrylic, with several layers to create a rich texture and shine.

Having a wide skillset enables me to switch gears between fine art, murals, illustration and graphic design with relative ease, creating works in a variety of visual styles to suit the project or mood.
I love to inject wry humour and pop culture references into my work, but I also have a serious contemplative side, that comes in handy when doing more natural realism based work.
