Hivy Gelati
Mural commissed by Hivy Gelati located on Wagtail Way Fitzgibbon. The gelato and cone is Hivy Gelati's logo incorporated with native Australian wagtail and wattle.
Approximately 2 metres square, this Mural can be viewed from the road and directly opposite the community centre and bushland walk. This is a vibrant newly developed area with a strong community spirit. It was a pleasure to be commissioned for this design.
Meet the Artist
Brisbane, AustraliaI am a Brisbane based Artist inspired by flora, fauna and the Australian landscape. My style combines bright and colourful paintings designed to be eye catching and uplifting with a special interest in large scale work. Each artwork I create is developed with a specific narrative suitable to the brief and surrounding areas.
Originally from Northern Ireland where I studied Fine Art specialising in printmaking, I have called Australia home for 15 years.
As a frontline healthcare professional, I am passionate about the healing connection of Art to improve mental health and well-being. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with communities and Councils to add value to commercial and residential areas.
Recent projects with Brisbane City Council include a series of traffic signal boxes in Brisbane and awarded best Energex Box 2018 with Urban Smart Projects.
