Historical Portrait - Study of Rembrandts SelfPortrait
One of the most famous self-portraits in history is by Rembrandt van Rjin. This painting is a study to recreate Rembrandt's masterful use of light and shadows, color and his ability to capture the human expression. The portrait study is a 16"x20" oil painting on a linen stretched canvas.
Meet the Artist
Dallas, United StatesHeda was trained in classical design and she paints in the techniques of the Italian Old Masters. Each painting is painted with heirloom quality materials in both oils and pastels.
Her inspiration comes from the person or subject of the painting. Her passion is to capture the person in that moment of time as a memory to keep forever. She focuses on capturing a person's likeness and their essence (twinkle in their eye).
Heda's journey in art has a wide range of subjects and media types (from landscapes, still lifes, animation and portraits). She studied Animation in her Master's studies with an emphasis on character development.
