Portraits for personal exhibition.
¨Everyone I Am¨comprises a series of portraits that explore the boundaries of identity and belonging, unravelling the processes by which we transform ourselves, resulting in a face that no longer belongs to us. It suggests the ways in which we produce new incarnations of our personalities, endlessly modifying and reinventing the face we show the world as we protect ourselves from our surroundings and perhaps, at the same time, distancing ourselves from ourselves
Size: 70cm (W) X 100cm (H)
Meet the Artist
Barcelona, SpainI´m a Peruvian illustrator based in Barcelona, with a background in graphic design, fine arts, and illustration.
My work primarily focuses on figurative representation, using pencil and paper in a predominantly elegant black and white palette. However, I also explore various techniques, working in an analog manner where mistakes are an integral part of my creative process. I am proficient in a wide range of analog and digital illustration techniques, and I work across all formats required by each project.
My creative practice uses metaphors and visual narratives to address complex themes with great sensitivity, combining a direct yet subtle approach.
