High school indoor mural
During this last summer (‘23) I was contracted by a local high school to complete a 40’ foot long hallway mural in their Culinary dept. I came up with the design and wanted to depict the process for cooking, up close and with vibrant colors. Hands are my specialty and I truly enjoyed capturing the dynamic hand positions during the cooking process. I used a mix of acrylic indoor paints and spray paint.
I’m currently working on the other side of the hallway as they have commissioned me again.
Meet the Artist
Austin, United StatesThe first thing you should know is that I am self-taught and will forever be a "learning artist". I was born in Mexico and grew up traveling Europe with my family. My culture and exposure to the European lifestyle greatly influenced my art. Landing in San Angelo was fortuitous and I'm grateful to be living in a community exploding with creative minds.
My first mural (2019) can be found at Paint Brush Alley in San Angelo, TX. Before that moment I had been painting professionally for 8 years. Taking the leap into murals was a dream of mine and has allowed me to try ideas much too large for canvas.
Taking lessons I previously learned and scaffolding my knowledge every time I took on a new project I was able to quickly improve and take on harder more complicated projects.
