Hansel & Gretel

Another illustration from the Brothers Grimm fairy tales series that I worked on, it's Hansel and Gretel. The candy house had to be present, but I also wanted to represent the kids in some way, so I put the bread crumbs on the road leading to the house. The detail of the bird on the tree, facing the path, it's also another hint of what will happen in the story. It is made with gouache and then edited digitally.
