Green Meadows Project by Rob in London

Green Meadows Project

This mural project was in partnership with the @greenmeadowsproject to promote the running of free workshops and talks being offered to residents of the Meadows (Nottingham) in order to try to tackle climate change and the effects of it on a global scale and also on an individual scale. My design was based on a loose brief which included the project motto, as well as a selection of visual references sent in by members of the local community. It showcases the type of insulation that they’re helping people install on their own houses and therefore had to be painted using a breathable and environmentally friendly lime silicate paint. Having my design picked by public and judge voting has been such an honour, especially having it happen in my hometown! It feels amazing to have left a mark in the city and it was such a nice place to do it! Having entered the competition over a year I’m thrilled to see it finally come to fruition.
