Great Communicator by Shannon Boyd in Sydney

Great Communicator

'In another Dreaming story, the Lyrebird is given the role of the peacemaker in the first great dispute between all creatures. As a reward, the spirits gave the Lyrebird the ability to be the only animal able to communicate to all the other animals.' The colours and patterns of the two lyrates intertwining upwards also represent the native Red Belly Black Snake, seen often in the area during the warmer months. The impressive filamentaries can be conceptual to the lightning strikes that scorch our beautiful land and can be seen for kilometres across the outback.
