Golden Illusions on Black Velvet
I used liquid gold leaf on a black velvet canvas to create a striking contrast between light and shadow. The figure emerges through carefully painted gold highlights, mimicking the effect of striped light falling across the body. The fluidity of the gold leaf adds a soft glow, making the figure appear almost three-dimensional against the deep black background. Every stroke was precisely placed to enhance the contours and depth, giving the illusion of movement and emotion. The velvet canvas absorbs the light, making the gold leaf stand out even more, creating a mesmerising interplay of darkness and radiance. This artwork is all about contrast, mystery, and the beauty of light shaping form.

Portsmouth, United KingdomPassionate about creating immersive spaces, I find inspiration in the harmony between aesthetics and functionality. With a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the University of Portsmouth, I thrive on transforming concepts into visually compelling and practical environments.
I love exploring textures, materials, and artistic techniques—from watercolor patinas to geometric wall paintings with gold leaf details. My work is a fusion of fine art and spatial design, whether sketching on glass with oil markers or painting large-scale murals.
What excites me most about creating is the ability to tell a story through design. Every project is an opportunity to evoke emotions, enhance spaces, and bring ideas to life. I take pride in my keen eye for detail, adaptability, and innovative approach to problem-solving.
