Goblin Woman 1 by Rachel Mills in Glasgow
Goblin Woman 1
My first Goblin Woman was my first foray into expressionism. It began on my living room floor in a moment of animalistic fear, uncertainty and power that I felt necessary to convey She sparked an entire series of sisters who would arrive in a similar way; through a certain emotion. I love creating them, since it feels like dancing out my feelings on paper.
The entire series was done on scrap brown paper using mainly charcoal, gouache, and ink. This piece and the beginning of the series started in 2019, the creation of them have practically halted, but every now and again another emerges.

Meet the Artist
Glasgow, United KingdomI’m a southside based artist who loves to paint naturalistic subjects. Such as animals, people and landscapes. As a huge lover of history, stories, and folklore much of my personal illustrative work follows this theme
My biggest strength is my adaptability and prolific practice. I can and do work in a variety of styles and with a variety of mediums, oils, acrylics, watercolours, digital etc.
As a second generation artist I’ve been drawing and paint my entire life, and love creating both original work and commission work. I look forward to collaborating with you! :)
