Meet the Artist
Langwarrin, AustraliaI am Silence, a Melbourne-based aerosol artist with a 30-year journey in the realm of graffiti and street art. From the suburbs of Frankston, I've witnessed and contributed to the evolution of Melbourne's urban art scene throughout my life.
My artistic identity is defined by clean, sharp lines, attention to detail, and a pursuit for perfection. Drawing inspiration from the 80s and 90s, my work embodies abstract and contemporary themes with a nostalgic twist.
I enjoy experimenting with diverse materials, often incorporating recycled elements like pipes, rust, and 3D objects to infuse my pieces with texture, depth, and character. Drips, splats, and intricate layering techniques are signatures of my style, complemented by an eclectic use of materials.
I have partnered with local, interstate, and international artists on numerous projects for various organisations, community groups, businesses, schools, and private collectors. Whether it's for a non-profit cause or my personal endeavors, I am committed to creating impactful and visually stimulating art experiences."
