My art is created with music and an enthusiasm for the process itself. I love getting lost in markmaking which allows me the freedom to move color around the canvas and keep an open mind. Each piece starts with simple lines and drips of color. Shapes and subject matter reveal themselves to me as I paint. This is the point in the process where I feel inspired to find composition, balance color, look for possible figures, and push through fears. As a self-taught artist, I am always looking for unique ways to add details and complete a painting with color combinations that push my boundaries.
