This is a painting about the good and the evil, life and death, freedom and oppression, it’s about all the contrasts in our lives specially those that women face day to day. My core message was when a woman is free, she blooms you will feel and touch all her beauty but when she is restrained and oppressed she live like a zombie.

Houston, United StatesTo me art is the better side of life.
My name is Sahar Taher , I am a contemporary artist. I have a bachelor degree in English Literature but my heart and soul has always been in painting. I participated in international art exhibitions in london and Italy. From 2015-2020 I was residing in Cairo,Egypt and since then participated in several well esteemed art exhibitions in Cairo opera house as well as other art events and galleries in Cairo. I had my first solo exhibition (Persona) in the Opera house in Feb 2017.
I started painting since early childhood I moved to Houston from 2001-2015, and have participated with some of my artwork in charity and school events. I am a member of Houston Islamic artists.
I moved back to Houston 2020 I participated in a couple of exhibitions in Houston and I am resuming my art exploration journey.
