Freedom To Lead (World Merit)
Commissioned office mural for the World Merit Office HQ.
The design I out together for this piece took inspiration from the Shepard Fairy print they had in their office with realistic flowers being an additional feature. The main goal was to design the back piece to frame the art work they had hanging as while also representing the organisations objectives which are highlighted at the top of the mural. A quote from World Merit's General Manger, Marlou can be seen below:
“At World Merit we are beyond excited that Calum shared his incredible talent and skills with us. His style and approach is one-of-a-kind and his work truly unique. We find it extremely important that our offices reflect our passionate and diverse network. Calum has done an extraordinary job in bringing a sense of connectedness and purpose to our office and created two mind- blowingly beautiful murals and we are so grateful for that. He is a hard-working, driven artist, who has delivered what he had promised and much more. Everyone who will get to work with Calum is extremely lucky and I would highly recommend him as a designer, artist and colleague."

Ever since I was a young boy I have always been an Artist however, now I have matured into a professional muralist, it is my mission to spend every day of my life painting murals on an ever expanding scale globally and continue to put smiles on people's faces using the gift I have been blessed with.??
Working for my own business, I have ten years of paid work experience with in creating exterior and interior murals with a primary focus on realism and portraits as well as work of all different styles and sizes. From the 105 degree tropical heat of South East Asia to the sub zero snowy winters of the UK, I have battled through murals all over Europe, America and Asia.
Full competence has been achieved with in all of the technicalities around preparing and executing large scale murals including paint mixing, setting up scaffolding, using a scissor lift, stencilling and burning, . This experience has also given me a strong grasp on how much hard work goes into producing murals of this kind which has only increased my craving for the feeling of achievement you get once you put in that final brush stroke.
As my education is in Graphic Design and Illustration, the majority of my commissioned murals and paintings have been designed by my self however, I am extremely confident in painting designs made by other people and I can paint to an extremely fast pace and high standard.
